VIII. STAFF REPORTS: A. Financial report for month ending 3/31/2001. (See Enclosure #4) CONSENT AGENDA: A. Accept and appropriate the following in the General Fund of the City's FY2000-2001 Budget: $1,500 grant from the Department of Motor Vehicles for radar units into Revenue 011019 18-44331 O--State Grants for Expenditure 01311085-506104--Non-Capital Equip- ment/Police Department. $934.05 grant from the Department of Motor Vehicles for DUI Enforcement--Reimbursement for Overtime in the Police Department into Revenue 011019 18-44331 O--State Grants for Expenditure 013 11085-501204--Overtime/DUI Enforcement/Police Department. Transfer and appropriate $50,000 in the City's FY2000-2001 Budget from the General Fund Unexpended Fund Balance to the School Fund to reimburse the City Schools for utilities and minor renovation work at the former Tultex Corporate Office Building, as follows:. GENERAL FUND: Expenditure 0 1931244-509280--Transfer to Schools Revenue 01103938-462 101--Contribution from Fund Balance SCHOOL FUND: Revenue 18103937-451590--Transfer from General Fund Expenditure 85001023-56511 O--Electrical Services/ Division-wide Building Services COMMENTS: This building was previously slated to become the School Division's Central Administration Headquarters until the City requested that it be utilized for a small business incubator to create jobs and generate new tax revenues. The City is slated to receive $700,000 for this property from the Martinsville Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) once the Authority receives its grant from the Federal Economic Deve- lopment Administration (EDA). The EDA grant has been approved and all contracts between the EDA and the MIDA have been executed. IX. Comments by City Council Members.
