February 27, 2001 <br /> <br /> 2001 that Townes Street as shown on Drawing S-1 prepared by the <br /> City Engineering Department on February 22, 2001, a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto, be, and it hereby is, vacated pursuant to <br /> the provisions of Section 15.2-2006 of the Code, as aforesaid, said <br /> vacation to take effect upon the payment of $9,300.00 by <br /> Commonwealth Boulevard Associates, LLC, to the City of <br /> Martinsvilla to purchase from said City the right-of-way herein <br /> vacated, title to which thereby vested in Commonwealth Boulevard <br /> Associates, LLC, and <br /> BE IF FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this ordinance <br /> to vacate shall be recorded as deeds are recorded and indexed in <br /> the name of the City of Martinsvilla in the Clerk's Office of the <br /> Circuit Court of the City of Martinsvilla, Virginia; and, <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council, that an emergency <br /> existing, this ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption of a Resolution approving an amendment to the <br />City's Section 125 Benefits Plan that would allow City and School employees to pay <br />vision care premiums with pre-tax dollars as is presently done with health care and <br />dental care premiums. Iris Read, Human Resources Director, stated, "82 employees <br />are enrolled in the program. The only cost to the City would be for filing the claims." <br />Vice Mayor Teague moved to adopt the Resolution; the motion was duly seconded and <br />carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, <br />Dallas, Farrill, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Wade Bartlett, Director of Finance, presented the financial report for month <br />ending January 31,2001. <br /> <br /> Council considered the Consent Agenda. Council Member Dallas moved to <br />approve the following items; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following <br />vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Farrill, Roop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br /> <br />
