City Manager Reynolds stated, "A schedule <br />will be developed to review with a timeline." <br /> <br /> Council considered adoption of a Resolution approving the financing of the <br />Industrial Development Authority of the County of Franklin for the benefit of Goodwill <br />Industries of the Valleys, Inc., for the issuance of the Authority's revenue bonds or notes <br />in an amount not to exceed $4,500,000. Richard Jones, Goodwill Director of <br />Operations, stated, "We would open a retail store in Martinsville of 12,000 square feet <br />and 31 new jobs. We would be good neighbors." Vice Mayor Teague moved to adopt <br />the following Resolution; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following <br />vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, Roop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the County of <br /> Franklin (the "Authority") has considered the application of Goodwill <br /> Industries of the Valleys, Inc. (the "Borrower') requesting the <br /> issuance of one or more of the Authority's revenue bonds or notes <br /> in an amount not to exceed $4,500,000 (the "Bonds") to assist in <br /> financing (a) the acquisition, renovation and equipping of a <br /> workforce development center and retail store at 1045 North Main <br /> Street in the Town of Rocky Mount in Franklin County, Virginia (the <br /> "County"), containing approximately 80,000 square feet, (b) the <br /> acquisition, construction and equipping of a retail store located on <br /> <br /> <br />
