Southern Area Agency on Aging Board (One 3-Year Term) <br /> <br /> B.A personnel matter under the jurisdiction of the City Manager, as authorized by Subsection 1. <br /> <br /> C.Possible disposition of publicly-owned real property, as authorized by Subsection 3. <br /> <br /> D. Discuss a perspective business or industry or expansion of an existing business or industry where <br /> no previous announcement has been made of the business' or industry's interest in locating or <br /> expanding its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br />City Council then adjourned and convened as the Martinsville Redeveolpment and Housing Authority. <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon <br />motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, convened in Closed Session for the purpose of <br />discussing the following matter: <br /> <br /> A. Possible acquisition of real property for public purpose, as authorized by Subsection 3. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of Council's Closed Session, each member certified that (1) only public business matters <br />exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said executive session; and (2) only those business <br />matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during <br />said Session. <br /> <br />Following their return to open meeting, Council took the following action: <br /> <br />Appointed Ronald M. Stone and Lewis Martin to two three-year terms, both ending <br />September 11, 2003, on the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br /> <br />Appointed Kevin B. Laine to one four-year term, ending September 26, 2004, on the <br />Industrial Development Authority. <br /> <br />Appointed Ted Balabanis to one three-year term, ending September 28,2003, on the <br /> <br />Southern Area Agency on Aging Board. <br /> <br />B. No action taken. <br /> <br /> <br />
